Facts and Information
What is a Legal Document Assistant?
Legal Document Assistants were once commonly known as Independent Paralegals. As of January 2000, those formerly known as Independent Paralegals are now officially known as Legal Document Assistants (LDAs). LDAs often have the same educational background as a paralegal and are REQUIRED by law to be registered and bonded in the county in which they have their principal place of business.
Why Hire a Legal Document Assistant?
Many times, the only assistance needed is with the preparation of documents and filing them with the Court. For that reason, we are honored to be able to assist. We pride ourselves on the work that has been and is being completed for our customers.
Dealing with a licensed document preparation service may equal to a winning or losing pleading, motion, or documents before the Court. Our document preparation quality speaks for itself.
A Legal Document Assistant is NOT a Lawyer.
By law, they cannot give you legal advice or represent you in the courts in any matter.
Services provided are not intended to create an attorney-client relationship.
Yosemite Lakes Paralegal Services prides itself with providing quality legal document preparation, but we do not guarantee the outcome of any legal matter we prepare documents on.
What is a Notary Public?
A notary public is appointed by the California Secretary of State to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. We are always prompt and prepared for every notarial assignment.
What Does it Mean to Have a Document Notarized?
Notarization is the assurance by a duly appointed and impartial Notary Public that a document is authentic, that its signature is genuine, and that its signer acted without duress or intimidation, and intended the terms of the document to be in full force and effect.
